Server cooling infrastructure

Mission-critical thermodynamic stability.

01. Applied Engineering

The Physics of Efficiency

In hyper-scale data centers and highly automated industrial facilities, cooling is no longer a secondary utility—it is the primary bottleneck for operational scaling. Thermal.Core approaches HVAC not as air conditioning, but as applied thermodynamics. We engineer closed-loop systems designed to extract, transport, and reject massive thermal loads with absolute precision.

Our primary metric is Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). By moving away from traditional air-side economization and implementing direct-to-chip liquid cooling architectures and rear-door heat exchangers, we drastically reduce the mechanical energy required to maintain optimal silicon operating temperatures.

We do not rely on standard commercial hardware. Every deployment begins with a rigorous Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of your facility, ensuring that chilled water loops, CRAC units, and containment aisles are positioned to eliminate hot spots and prevent thermal runaway under peak processing loads.

02. System Architecture

Redundant Infrastructure

Downtime is catastrophic. Our chilled water plants and air handling systems are designed around N+1, N+2, or 2N redundancy architectures. This ensures that even during routine maintenance or unexpected catastrophic hardware failure, the thermal environment remains completely stable.

We utilize variable frequency drives (VFDs) on all pumps and compressors, allowing the system to dynamically scale its cooling output in real-time based on the instantaneous IT load, rather than running at an inefficient constant volume.

Hardware Specifications
  • Chilled Water Systems
Centrifugal and modular magnetic bearing chillers capable of massive load rejection with zero oil management issues.
  • In-Row Cooling Units
Coupled directly with hot/cold aisle containment to minimize air travel distance and maximize delta-T.
  • Dry Coolers & Adiabatic Systems
Utilizing ambient outdoor temperatures for free cooling whenever environmental conditions permit.

03. Software Integration

Building Management Systems (BMS)

Hardware is only as effective as the logic controlling it. We integrate all mechanical components into a centralized, highly secure Building Management System. This platform aggregates thousands of telemetry points—from supply and return water temperatures to individual server rack intake metrics—into a single pane of glass.

The BMS employs predictive algorithms to anticipate thermal load spikes before they impact the environment. By analyzing historical compute trends and external weather data, the system pre-cools thermal buffers, ensuring that the facility is prepared for instantaneous power draws without triggering alarming temperature fluctuations.
